BBC iplayer has some wonderful educational programmes such as Blue Planet, Planet Earth, Seven Worlds, One Planet – why not watch one and take notes/make a poster or just enjoy it!

For people who hold a Northamptonshire library card, this link takes you to a free Borrow Box service whereby members can borrow e-books via an app:
‘Reading Eggs’ is a fantastic app offering 30 day free subscription at the moment.
We now use Read, Write, Inc to teach phonics – the Ruth Miskin website has useful videos showing how we teach the sounds and how to say the sounds (sound chart also included in packs from YR-Y3)

As you know, we use class dojo in school to give rewards. It is possible to set up a family account to keep the children motivated – we would love to hear how many dojos they’ve managed to earn while they’ve been off!
Have said they will be conducting science experiments every couple of days using household items so keep an eye out!
