Welcome to Year 5. Children here are taught by Mrs Rea in 5KR and Mrs Hart and Mr Muggleton in 5HM assisted by Mrs Savage, Mrs Blanco-Rivas, Mrs Rew and Mrs Alhamad.
In year 5 we build on our learning from year 4 and start to become much more independent learners. We make use of technology to research and present our findings.
In maths we are refining our use of the four operations and applying our knowledge to problem solve and reason.
In English we start to draw together all of our learning to create much longer and more detailed pieces of writing. We like to find real purposes for our writing such as writing to our headteacher, our local MP or even the King.
