Uniform
We want our children to have pride in our school and to know that they are a special part of the Upton Meadows community. We believe that wearing a school uniform:
- Promotes a sense of pride in the school
- Helps to create a sense of community and belonging towards the school
- Identifies pupils with the school
- Supports the school’s commitment to inclusion
- Prevents pupils from wearing ‘fashion clothes’ that could be distracting in class
- Is practical, smart and designed with health and safety in mind
- Is considered good value for money by most parents
Uniform requirements

Dark Grey, knee length shorts or a blue or green-check summer dresses. |

Black, flat-heeled shoes that are polishable and sturdy or PLAIN black trainers (no colours or distinctive logos) with black soles. |

Sensible, plain black ankle boots are also allowed. Socks - grey, white or black. Tights - grey |
|
Jewellery: a pair of small gold or silver studs / sensible, non-electronic watch. |
Physical Education
On the days when children in Y1-Y6 have PE they should attend school in their PE kit.
Reception children should bring their PE kit at the beginning of each term in a navy drawstring bag (logo or non-logo). This will be sent home at the end of each term for washing.

Swimming: each child will need a towel, a one-piece swimsuit, and a swim hat. (swim hats can be purchased from the school office) |
